It you don't bout Nasty Nes, you should!

(A NASTY 80'S FLASHBACK (l-r): DJ Magic Mike (WPYO-FL), Nasty-Nes & the Shockmaster Glen Boyd!, taken from RapAttackLives.com)

My man Nasty Nes has been in the game for a hot minute! Currently he's holding things down over at Rap Attack Lives and is the true voice for college radio since 1985. Thats real! He's also known for his appearance as a caller on Eazy-E's 1988 single, "Radio" on Ruthless Records which was one of my first records that my father bought for me. And here I am 17 years later honored to be a part of him as a reporting college dj. He also was the radio jock in Sir Mix-a-Lot's classick video "Posse on Broadway!" Do your research and check check....check the method. He posted dj's most memorable moments for 2005 and some pictures of reporting dj's. Take a Look! Rap Attack Lives!

Its colder than the ice cream section outside. I'm curious to see how long this last, anyhow my weekend starts today! My boy Edon "shut up and get peed on" is celebrating his 30th tonite! I'll have pics up of this boy soon. This boys goes all out sometimes to the point he breaks bones and gets bruised up like a battered wife. Come on out and don't forget your bubble jacket.

One of the hottest albums of 1992

The original members of The Pharcyde, Imani, Booty Brown, Slimkid Tre, Fat Lip, and producer J Swift blew the F up in the 90's with a style and sound of feel good hip hop music. The entire transition of hip hop music from the late 80's to the early 90's was good times. Groups like De La Soul, Souls of Mischief, A Tribe Called Quest and Leaders of the New School were next up to take the torch and run with it.

Well here we are 13 years later, and The Pharcyde is still putting out music, but without all of the original members. There wasn't ever to much publicity on the producer J Swift until now it seems. Since then he has lost his fame and fortune to CRACK! There were rumors a while back about Fat Lip being the one hooked on crack, but naa...naa...chill! A new reality show One More Hit is scheduled for 2006, tracking the life of J Swift and his drug addiction. This shit is pretty sad!

Top Notch Producer J Dilla!

Early this year a statement made by ?uest Love of the Roots incorrectly reported that J Dilla "was sick and in the hospital -- but he is not in a coma." Well he is sick and the only news that I've read is that "Jay has been battling kidney problems as a result of malnutrition." (Jay Smooth-Hiphopmusic.com) With that information out, my crew and I at Late Nite Snax decided to support the great producer by dedicating a block set of his music and encouraged fans and listeners to keep him in your prayers. Currently pictures have been put up on the net of J Dilla performing in a wheel chair and his looks are almost unrecognizable. More Pictures This is really sad to see someone transforming from one look to a look of someone slowly deteriorating. His next project Jay Dee / J Dilla - "Donuts" CD/2LP is scheduled for release on Feb. 7, 2006. J Dilla's disography

Bling Bling!

Diamonds on my neck! Ice in my teeth! I got something round my neck that cost more than your house! It's everywhere! The majority of big time rappers have some type of jewerly to show off. We've all seen how hip hop went from big dookie gold chains to diamonds and platinum. Then Kanye shed a little light on Sierra Leone with his track "Diamonds are forever." Peep out this video that gives information about whats really going down in Afica. Bling: Consequence and Repercussion
